Bmw E90 Number Plate Lights Not Working

Each of the rear number plate lights have a separate feed for power believe it or not. All the lights are working on the car except some in the boot lid section. On the off side unit no bulbs are working for side reverse or fog.

Bmw e90 number plate lights not working.

The problem here is most likely a cracked wire going in to the boot lid. A common problem on lots of generations of bmw models is the phenomenon of cracked wires in the loom. Both number plate lights work. Finally they have arrived and i installed them in under 2 minutes myself.

They are cheap i got them for 15 usd and a great small mod to. Take the bulb back out and clean inside the bulb holder there may be some corrosion or other debris in there. Posted on nov 28 2008. E90 e60 reverse lights or number plate lights not working.

You can see this on the right hand side of the car it will look like a black rubber concertina d tube. There is a cable harness that runs from the main body to the bootlid.
